The Strand's Rare Book Room is a non-traditional venue perfect for intimate private events.
Our versatile space can host weddings, birthday celebrations, corporate dinners, fundraisers, photo shoots, fashion shows, and so much more!
Spend your special evening surrounded by rare and antique books curated by Strand's resident experts. We partner with some of the best caterers, florists, and decorators in the city to bring your event to life.

The Rare Book Room at our flagship location is open Saturday and Sunday 10am - 6pm.
Clients are free to view the space at their leisure during these times.
All walkthroughs that include additional details of private rentals are by appointment only. At this time, walkthroughs are only available Monday - Friday from 11am until 4pm, unless previously arranged by a Rentals Coordinator.

Confirming Your Event
We require a non-refundable $1,000 deposit - via credit card authorization form - and signed Rare Book Room Contract in order to reserve the rental date.
Prospective clients must schedule a walkthrough of the space before receiving the contract and credit card authorization form from Events Representative.
Final balance including additional fees will be due 72 hours before the event. All costs include applicable sales tax.
Strand reserves the right to terminate the event and withhold any and all payments without refund if client breaches The Rare Book Room Contract.
