How do I buy a ticket? 
We ticket our events through Eventbrite. A link to purchase is available on all events listed on Strand Book Store.

Where do the events take place?
The majority of our events take place in our Rare Book Room (currently closed for browsing) on the 3rd floor of our flagship location located at 828 Broadway (at 12th Street).

However, we host events at offsite locations and, occasionally, at our Buying Desk on the Main Floor of the flagship location.

Are there any events at the Columbus Avenue location?
We are not currently hosting regular programming at our Columbus Avenue location.

However, in-store staff host a weekly storytime for children. Follow us on Instagram or Twitter for the latest updates on Columbus Avenue storytime.

Where is my ticket?
Your ticket is available on Eventbrite. When you arrive at the event for check-in, please provide staff with your first and last name or your confirmation e-mail/QR code.

Is a book included in my ticket?/Is it signed?
Most tickets include a copy of the book. However, some events offer General Admission or free tickets that don’t include a copy of the book.

The majority of our tickets come with a signed copy of the book.

What happens if I can’t make it to the event and would like a refund?
You can request a refund on Eventbrite. Please note that Eventbrite charges processing fees that are non-refundable. We will process all refunds the day after the event. After 7 days, we will be unable to refund any tickets.

What happens if I can’t make it to the event but would still like a copy of the book?
If you don’t check-in at the event, we will place your book on hold the following afternoon and hold it for 7 days. If you don’t pick-up your book, the book will be sent back to the sales floor and made available for purchase.

Can I ship my book if I can’t make the event?
Yes! If you can’t make the event, but would like to have the book shipped to you please email us at events@strandbooks.com. Please note: there will be an additional charge for shipping.

Can I meet the author/take a photo with author/have the author personalize my book/memorabilia?
Each author has different preferences for meeting attendees/taking photos/signing books after the program. Please reach out to us at events@strandbooks.com for specific information regarding the event.

Do you have a bag check?
No! We encourage attendees to leave large or unnecessary items at home.
